29 September – 2 October Nidoje vyko Europos menininkų kolonijų federacijos „euroArt“ narių susitikimas – čia viešėjo apie 40 šios organizacijos narių iš Vokietijos, Prancūzijos, Danijos, Belgijos, Nyderlandų.
The Federation of European Artists’ Colonies brings together the artists’ colonies and residencies that have existed in Europe. Dailininkų kolonija veikė ir Nidoje – 19 amžiaus antroje pusėje – 20 amžiaus pradžioje ši Kuršių nerijos gyvenvietė buvo vokiečių dailininkų, intelektualų pamėgta vasarojimo ir kūrybos vieta. Iki Antrojo pasaulinio karo Nidoje kūrė apie 300 dailininkų, čia lankėsi fotografai, rašytojai, aktoriai, kompozitoriai. Jie Kuršių nerijoje rado ramybės salą, kūrybinio įkvėpimo šaltinį, įkvepiantį kraštovaizdį. The works created in Nida during the lifetime of this artists’ colony are now known all over the world.
Neringa aims to revive the tradition of the Nida Artists’ Colony today. This was discussed with visiting members of euroArt, the European Federation of Artists’ Colonies.
At the general meeting of euroArt, the activity report was presented and approved by the members. Po to sekė geros naujienos iš ICEAC, Domburgo mokslinių tyrimų ir dokumentacijos instituto, kurie 2024 m. persikels į atskirus įpūdingus namus, juose įsikurs didelė biblioteka su keliais tūkstančiais knygų apie Europos menininkų kolonijas. Pirmoji euroArt skaitmeninė paroda taip pat pavyko puikiai. Ten museums took part and it was decided to continue the project next year. Pristatyta nauja euroArt interneto svetainė, kuri pradės veikti spalio pabaigoje. The organisation would like to thank Birte Hölscher, who is the new head of the office as from spring 2022 and who also presented herself in Nida.
The afternoon of the last day was dominated by interesting and intensive discussions: initial planning for euroArt’s 30th anniversary in 2024, discussions on euroArt’s main objectives to be represented in the Council of Europe, how euroArt can be attractive to contemporary artists and how commercial institutions can become associated with euroArt.
The 2024 meeting will take place 13-15 October in Murnau, Germany.
