On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the birth of the writer Thomas Mann and the Lithuanian composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre in Nida (Lithuania) is organising a special concert in one of Lübeck’s most beautiful concert halls.

This evening of chamber music will connect the cultures of Lithuania and Germany through music. The programme will feature works of Lithuanian classical and contemporary music – with a particular focus on the work of Čiurlionis. Performing will be the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, renowned in Lithuania and internationally for its outstanding interpretations and original programming. The evening will be introduced by the historian Prof. Dr. Ruth Leiserowitz.

This concert is not only a musical event, but also a cultural testimony to the spirit of community, remembrance, and creative dialogue between the two nations.

The concert is organised by the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre and the Museums of Neringa in cooperation with the Buddenbrookhaus Lübeck.
