This year, we received an exceptionally large number of thoughtful, mature, and meaningful essays, reflecting the young authors’ ability to engage with questions of humanity, history, culture, and the challenges of today’s world. The competition jury was impressed not only by the number of submissions but also by their intellectual depth and creative quality.
The essay competition is organized by the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Lithuania.
We look forward to welcoming the laureates to the XXX International Thomas Mann Festival in Nida, where they will have the opportunity to present their essays to an international audience and become part of the festival’s cultural dialogue.
