OrganisationSince May 1995, two institutions have been located in the newly restored Thomas Mann House: the Thomas Mann Museum, financed by the State of Lithuania, and the Thomas Mann Cultural Centre (TMCC). The TMCC was founded in 1995 by the Lithuanian Ministry of Culture, the University of Klaipėda and the Municipality of the city of Neringa. It is supervised by an international board of curators and funded by various sponsors. Our aims- International and intergenerational dialogue on the divided Curonian Spit
- Creative advancement of young people from Lithuania and abroad
- Support for sustainable cultural tourism
- Exchanging information between Lithuania and other countries
Our program- educational events for young scientists, international seminars and scientific conferences (emphasis on German language and literature, cultural history, history of memory)
- Translation workshops for the advancement of young translators and the exchange of literature
- Cultural events (exhibitions, readings, concerts, lectures, guided tours)
- Thomas Mann Festival (music, literature, public discussions, films, art)
